2 month agoAs for the attacks not reported in the media, ISWAP also claimed the ambush on the road from Maiduguri to Bulabulin (the Damboa road). The statement says 6 soldiers were killed, "a Humvee" (does NA have any of those), "a Cougar" (I assume an APC), 2 SUVs, and weapons captured
2 month agoISWAP claimed responsibility for the Askira Uba attack, said a member of CJTF was killed while 2 SUVs, weapons and ammo were captured (they lost at least 3 SUVs though). They also claim to have burned the CJTF HQ and a tank
ISWAP launched a big assault in Askira Uba with 15 gun trucks. According to reports, at least 20 fighters were killed and their attempt was repelled. 1 soldier lost his life while 2 others were wounded

According to AFP, 10 soldiers were killed in Alagarno Forest. Everything else confirms what militants were claiming in their statements (although the number of killed claimed by ISWAP - 7 - is actually lower than the one reported by AFP)

2 month agoNigeria: ISWAP claimed responsibility for killing 7 soldiers (one of them is executed after the clashes) in Borno, Algarno. According to photos, two vehicles captured/destroyed and at least one 12.7x108mm HMG (possibly Type 54 HMG) captured as well
2 month agoISWAP also says it killed 30 Chadian soldiers and destroyed 2 boats by 2 IEDs in the area between Ngouboua and Kaiga (the main ISWAP area in Chad). According to the statement, the attack took place on 01/12. Like I said 2 weeks ago, this is ISWAP's new tactic in that area
2 month agoISWAP released photos showing the aftermath of the Alagarno clash, including an APC which in fact has been delivered just this year. 1 SUV captured, 1 burned (plus photos of 1 killed and 1 captured Nigerian soldier) are also a part of this "photo report"

2 month agoYesterday ISWAP claimed an ambush near Kareto from Sunday. The use of an IED is being reported by the group (first time in a while in that area)
