أفادت صحيفة لوموند الفرنسية أن مرتزقة روس من لواء "ميدفيدي" غادروا بوركينا فاسو بسبب هجوم القوات المسلحة الأوكرانية في منطقة كورسك. وبحسب الصحيفة، كان هناك حوالي 200-300 مرتزق من اللواء في بوركينا فاسو. غادر حوالي 100 منهم البلاد بالفعل. وكان سبب رحيل المرتزقة هو هجوم القوات المسلحة الأوكرانية في منطقة كورسك، كما أكد قائد اللواء فيكتور يرمولاييف لصحيفة لوموند.
