1 month agoLo Stato Islamico dell'Africa Occidentale (ISWAP) ha fatto irruzione in diversi campi dell'esercito nigeriano e ucciso numerosi soldati nel Borno. L'ISIS ha inoltre catturato un obice D-30 da 122 mm (2A18), bombe da mortaio M44A2 di fabbricazione pakistana, un fucile FB Beryl M762 di fabbricazione polacca, bombe Thomson-Brandt Mle. 61 di fabbricazione francese, un lanciagranate Norinco LG4 di fabbricazione cinese, mitragliatrici, mortai, lanciarazzi, razzi anticarro PG-7V ecc.
Il Benin, a 10 km dal confine con il Burkina Faso, ha visto due giorni fa il JNIM attaccare una base operativa avanzata dell'esercito nel Parco Nazionale di Pendjari. Nell'immagine è visibile un trasporto truppe M113 dell'esercito beninese. Questo attacco è il secondo in una settimana, dopo le dichiarazioni di tregua dell'ISIS.
